LOONS

I had a very interesting , but very frustating time, with loons at Kluane Lake. While photographing one loon I suddenly discovered I had five more that were even closer. These six loons stayed near me for over an hour, but were heavily back lite. This makes their eyes disapear into the black of their head and as a result I got only a few good shots.

I have seen quite a number of bears of late: mostly in the Haines Highway and Kluane Lake area. The sightings have included both blacks and grizzlies.
