To Homer, To Home

We have just returned from a couple of great weeks in Alaska.  Fall colours were incredible, weather was good, Stealhead fishing was fair, and there was enough wildlife to keep things interesting.

Another Busy Week In Haines

Swans in preflight training.  Would line up at one end of Border Pond, run and flap down the little lake, then repeat

Last year this pair lost all their little ones.  This year they still have all six.

Lots of bears this week.  More pinks and they were doing better fishing

Speedy with all three cubs.  There were often up to nine bears on the wier at one time.  Some 25 in the area.

Haven't added to my blog for some time but we just had a great four days in Haines Alaska.  The sun shone down on us,  the eulachon were in and the bay was full of sea lions, humpbacked whales, sea gulls and eagles.

Got several photos that I was happy with, as well as enjoying the great spring weather.
